Passenger Trains > Late Trains Today

The 500 is almost 2 hours behind and the 11 is over an hour late. Does anyone know what's up?

Freight train hit somebody walking on the track somewhere(?) around Shedd/Tangent. (north of Eugene) Many freights were held and at least one tied up. #500 couldn't get through.

BNSF has a derailment in the Vancouver Yard. #11 is (was?) being held in Seattle. Some Cascades being detoured through the yard. #27 was delayed also. (I was told all of this and it doesn't add up. Only thing I'd be certain of is the derailment.)

Both mains blocked just north on Vancouver depot. Talgos detouring through yard & using the Empire Builder platform. #27 was delayed leaving Spokane, not by the derailment. Haven't heard about #11 but guessing they were held until more was known about derailment & detouring.

I see that Amtrak didn't bother to try and detour on the OE this time...
