Passenger Trains > Status request: 513 of the 27th

Out of VAC on time, estimated 5:25 late into Bellingham, 4:52 late
into Seattle as of 13:30 PST.

What happened?

Must have lost its way. Not uncommon in today's Amtrak!

Don't know what happened. Today's 507 from Portland-to-Eugene and tomorrow's 504 EUG-PDX, based on what I heard from up north, is a P42 with two amfleet coaches. Something happen to one of the Talgo trainsets?

I got an update from an agent. Mechanical problems (unspecified)
at Bellingham, alternate transportation provided by bus. Train 511
honored tickets issued for train 513. 513's equipment will not make
it to Portland in time to turn as 508, so 507 will turn at Portland
to protect 508's schedule. One unit and two Amfleet cars will operate
as 507 south of Portland and (presumably) 504 of the 28th. Odds are
good that the Amfleet cars were taken from the 511 trainset before
it departed for Seattle as train 514. Hopefully 514 wasn't overly
crowded.

Putting 2 and 2 together then, there may be a deadhead move of a
consist to arrive Portland prior to 1400 on the 28th so as to have a
Talgo set in position in Portland to protect train 516 of the 28th's
schedule.
