Passenger Trains > Starlight Scheduling QuestionDate: 09/05/10 10:56 Starlight Scheduling Question Author: scooter Just got off a round trip LAX-EUG trip. Went well except for CTC outage between Mcredie and Eugene but that's ok.
My question is why does the southbound trip take longer than the northbound trip from endpoints, LAX and SEA? 14 gets out of LA at 1015A and into SEA at 845P, whereas 11 is 945A out and 900P into LA. I am thinking the Metrolink commute in LA is compensted for? Date: 09/05/10 11:02 Re: Starlight Scheduling Question Author: TAW scooter Wrote:

That is so good to hear after years of this train being so unreliable in its schedule. Amtrak even had an extra consist on hand in case it needed to be swapped into the "turns at LA" to get things caught up. |
