There was another one today, in Oakland involving a southbound Amtrak Capitol Corridor. Having seen this trend before after the economic bubble burst in Japan more than 2 decades ago, I refuse to believe these are isolated incidents, a sudden surge of "mentally disturbed" discovering the wonders of railroad tracks, or any other excuses or denials to distract from the consequences of failed economic policies.

It is too bad the train crews have to witness the gruesome endings. No amount of safety devices, security patrols, or "slowing down at every crossing" will stop this epidemic. End of rant.
