Passenger Trains > Thanksgiving Day ChaseDate: 11/23/12 01:54 Thanksgiving Day Chase Author: walstib Chasing Amtrak's Coast Starlight has become something of a Thanksgiving Day tradition and I was thankful to be able to do it again this year.
I chased #11 south from Coyote to Santa Margarita, where northbound #14 was waiting in the siding. Then I chased 14 back into the Sunset as far as Bradley. The first shot shows #11, with heritage unit 184 trailing, heading south through the Elkhorn Slough. The second shot is the meet in Santa Margarita. And the third shot is a time exposure just south of Bradley. The PV SIlver Lariat, a CZ dome, was on the rear. If you look at the light pattern you can see the lights in the dome at the rear of the train. Date: 11/23/12 09:31 Re: Thanksgiving Day Chase Author: africansteam Nice job on the last shot!
