What are great series of photographs! Thanks for sharing.

Just one thing are we sure this isnt AMT11(26)? I'm fairly certain 11(27) is still somewhere around Black Butte, CA right now.

I really love pics #2 and #6! They are sure fire winners!

I really like the shot with the palm trees south of King City.

The tardy train got even tardier after Paso Robles and I ended up doing a night shot in SLO. Four hours late in SLO and nearly five hours late out of Santa Barbara. Hopefully it will come north again on 14 tomorrow.

Chris --
You are a super photographer. Photo #1 has a nice
minimalist feel to it. Definitely not "Lawrence of Arabia",
though -- far too much water. (I know, I lived over there.
That desert makes the Mojave Desert look like a jungle!)

Another consist with missing Pacific Parlour Car. Sure there is a diner as replacement. But it certainly doesn't provide the comfort or ambiance of the equipment advertised and expected by the Sleeping Car passengers.

That first one is very nice. Some of the best pictures of the Starlight ever.

I think it looks like the Great Salt Lake in Utah. Anyway you look at it, IOTD is in my book.

I go to Alviso often to shoot trains, but I will never be able to make it look that good - smooth as glass, fantastic.
