Maybe someone who lives in the area and is registered on the Hampshire Gazette's web site can let them know that when the train last ran through Northampton and Greenfield, it was the Montrealer, not the Vermonter....

Since $60M has been invested to bring this railroad into the 21st century (rail, ties, signals, etc.), the state of MA may as well own it, so they can control it.
