The Coastal Classic passenger train from Anchorage to Seward casts a magnificent reflection in a small pond north of Girdwood. Summer is rapidly coming to a close in the 49th state and the green surroundings will soon be covered in white again ......

Truly beautiful. The shimmer in the water gives the reflection an Impressionist look.

Beautiful shot but that's not probably the Coastal. It's likely one of the chartered cruise trains. If you tell me the date this was taken, I can tell you which one it is.

August 24th was a Sunday making this the HAP (Holland America/Princess) cruise train which shuttles cruise ship passengers between the port in Seward and Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage using all ARR equipment. This is the schedule:

Depart Seward 0650
Arrive TSIA 1135
Depart TSIA 1300
Arrive Seward 1745
