Hancock is still in Maryland. But across the Potomac River from Hancock is Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. So perhaps the thread title should be "P030 Berkeley Springs, WV"?

Originally known as Brosius, WV but later changed to Hancock, WV in 1948 due to its location on the B&O mainline across the river from Hancock, Maryland.
Another tidbit, the MD state line is on the south side of the Potomac. Berkeley springs is further south.

Thanks JW, didn't want to explain all that again. Going to make the run from there to Paw Paw in a couple of weeks to see just what's changed. Tom
