"More New ACS-64's..."
Author: aussiehinz

638 and 639, seen here arriving Chicago on today's #6.  Also, an on time departing #5, and a Metra Southwest Service mid afternoon train at 18th Street.

Cheers,

aussiehinz

1.  #6 with ACS-64's 638 & 639 @ "MH" Tower'...

2.  Amtrak #5, the "California Zephyr," scoots past a waiting UP Canal Street to Global One bare table transfer.  UP moves to/from Global One must cross over all four BNSF Chicago SD main tracks, so they often must wait for their turn.

3.  From the 18th Street overpass, a Metra SW Service train heads toward Orland Park.

I saw those electrics go out on your cam at 8:45PM.  I can't find a train on the Amtrak site that would fit that slot, except one an hour off, the Capitol, I think.  Maybe this has something to do with a previous post about TTS delayed.
Your cam has spiked my interest in the goings on around Chicago. I've enjoyed it.  Probably the only way I'll see the area again.
I saw it before as a trucker...... enough said.
Thanks

I was watching then, too.  Number 6 was rather late and  it was the same train.

Is there only one bridge in the permanent "UP position" in that area?  Is that the bridge that's been raised for
about 10 years??  Every time we see some nice train shots in that area, there's that bridge making off that
it's really a tall building.  I guess it's become a part of the skyline?  Keep the great shots coming, bridge or not!
