That is a fine burger that Amtrak has on its lunch menu, especially with cheese and bacon. Had four in the past week. Unfortunately, what Amtrak charges for their dining car meals, and the portions which seem to get smaller each year, isn't exactly peanuts, either. That burger is probably the best value on the whole menu, however.

I remember when that was the free lunch in coach on Continental.  Now it is only free in first class and not nearly up to McDonalds standards.

Yes OK "look into it", then realize that railroads never-ever made money on food service.

A restaurant is a low-margin, risky business to begin with, diner cars have limited hours with a limited customer base, and we pay them more than federal min cash wage of $2.13/hour for tipped employees.
