That is the Elizabeth Street grade crossing of the former SP now UP Coast sub (Newark -Santa clara CA portion)

So it finally fell! They hauled away the remains I guess. In the end it was really just an eyesore. The vibration of the passing trains probably hastened its collapse.

I was sure it was no Armour Yellow rescue power up front...

Thanks for the streetview, now I see what's missing. To bad the building couldn't be saved, but it did look rather worn down.

Here's a shot of the building that stood next to the tracks for more than a century. It collapsed around February of this year, and the remains were there for at least a couple of months,

I'm not sure when they hauled the collapsed building away, but I was there yesterday and saw that it was gone.

The Lucky Lager "X" sign above the doorway was removed sometime before the collapse. Wonder where it went...

The next door neighbor in the green house must have thrown a party
when they woke up one morning and saw that eyesore gone!!

They probably moved into that house figuring the "building" next door
wasn't long for this world!

It appears the boundary lines in that town aren't very generous.
Let's hope they don't mind the new neighbors - the railroad.
