Passenger Trains > San Diego Station Action 7/23/17Date: 07/24/17 11:00 San Diego Station Action 7/23/17 Author: gjc Thought I'd get away for a couple of hours in the early evening and headed for downtown San Diego, 10 miles south of home. It turned out to be a good evening catching a double header Coaster 693, Amtrak 582 with Veterans Commemorative Unit NPCU 90208 and I believe the extra Amtrak 593.

A far cry from my Navy days in the 60s when I rode behind Santa Fe Alco PAs between San Diego and L.A. And where did those beautiful palm trees and hi-rise buildings come from? I loved the station. classic.
