The suicide prevention signs along the ROW are nothing new. Apparently they aren't helping. I think there has been an incident everyday this week (save for today, but it's still young) in south Florida.

What I did find interesting was this:

"Officials also are considering flying drones in some high-profile corridors to alert Tri-Rail or police if somebody is on the tracks."

NJ Transit has had suicide hotline signs in stations / platforms for several years. And locked the low level gate access. And I've been approached by officers who may have been doing preventive work.

South Florida has a lot of homeless people in metro areas so I am not surprised that these type of things are happening on a frequent basis.
