Passenger Trains > Capitol Limited racing CSX at sunset at Orleans, WV 9-23-17

Dad and son went railfanning and camping yesterday. We were trackside just east of Orleans when we heard a crackle over the scanner that was P029 westbound. Instead We heard the roar a CSX freight off to the east, so we set up for a shot of something.... and waited. Around the bend from Turkey Foot towards Orleans came the freight on the far track, and then the gleam of a second headlight. Just as they got to us, the Capitol Limited passed the CSX freight, right in front of us.

I assume you are referring to Little Orleans one of the most beautiful spots on the Potomac, especially on a Fall day. Leaves will be dropping soon but color will be outstanding.

well, you caught my mistake... It's Orleans (the railroad calls it Orleans Crossroads) in WV not MD.... Sometimes my brain works faster than my fingers. Note that I have change the overall subject now.... Little Orleans is in MD directly across the river from Orleans, WV.
