Hence the reason I posted it here! Especially being eastern engines, I figured that a number of interested parties wouldn't see them over there.

I'd like to see Penn Line trains hauled by electric locos. probably accelerate a lot better too and stay in the flow of Amtrak trains better.

I thought MARC decided the cost of electricity from Amtrak was too high, and having electrics means they couldn't use them on the CSX lines so went all diesel.

MARC has done some work on three HHP-8s so they can keep them in service - at least for the short term.

MARC is not buying anymore electric motors because Amtrak is charging them out the ying yang for electricity plus the electrics are only captive to the Penn line whereas the diesels can run anywhere and the electrics are more costly to maintain. The 6 MARC Hippos include 1 stored serviceable, 2 are running and the other 3 are shopped for various reasons.
