12-16-17 Amtrak 365 on the Curve

12/16/17 09:20 29 degrees as Amtrak 365 rounds the MP 202 curve a bit late at Charlotte, MI. It's a snowy landscape in these parts!!

Damn shame they still have to lead with one motor and haul a second motor. One motor would easily handle the task.

There is no turning of locomotive at Port Huron so the reason for one Loco on each end.

A new four inches over night.

Saw it was running 48 Civilized minutes late by KAL.. 351 following today as its running 4 hrs 56 Civilized minutes out of DET.. And then there's 350 that left initial terminal CHI 1 hr 2 Civilized minutes late... I bet 353 would like to pass that 351 and stretch its legs...

Normal consist is 6 coaches but they add for holidays. This train had 8 at Thanksgiving.
