Where are the (Wisconsin) Talgos?

Where are the (Wisconsin) Talgos? Last I heard they were at Beech Grove after being tested in Pueblo. Since Talgo in Milwaukee has restored/shipped the crashed Talgo trainset (Mt Jefferson) back to Seattle, they should be ready to start on the (Wisconsin) trainsets and turn them into Cascade trainsets.

Any info and photos would be appreciated.

There was a Talgo with a WSDOT decal on the side at Eugene on Sun 3/18.

Power was conventional Amtrak Cascades, not the Talgo power.

Both of the sets in question are still at Beech Grove

I guess you are right - I saw WSDOT as Wisconsin, not Washington - I guess a dual purpose logo - Oh, well.

WSDOT is the State of Washington OK. And they do go to Eugene OR>

Can someone tell me what Talgo Power is ? Have never heard of that locomotive. Talgo's do have a head-end power car but not locomotive that I have ever seen.

I assumed that the totally ugly things that were on the end of the Wisconsin Talgos were locomotives.

Are they just control cabs with an actual loco on the other end?

Yup, those guys!!

Do they have power or are they just control cabs?

Back in the 1950s when I was a kid, I rode the Jet Rocket once - a Talgo set with the same locos they used on the Aerotrains.

The loco had a raised cab that looked a lot like a mid-50's GM car with wraparound windows and all and a very funny snout on the front end.

They are control cabs with a Cat generator for train power.

The Wisconsin Talgos left the Grove for Colorado for modifications before entering service on Amtrak Cascades.

Wrong. No work is done at the testing center. Only testing. They went to the testing center for testing, then back to Beach Grove, where they are now.

Please, someone must have the FACTS. Are either of them going to Washington State?
