Passenger Trains > PV on 50/51 Today

50 picked up a car at WSS, causing a 10 min delay according to a friend on the train. When they passed the WB 51, a few minutes ago there was one on the tail end of that one too. I thought that Amtrak wasn't going to do pick ups and set outs between terminals????

Update from Pass on 50, pulled into Union Station, train was to long for the platform by 1 car, the Greenbrier car, had to back up and try again. Interesting

Wow, a whole 10 minute delay. It reportedly takes longer than that for the LSL to load and unload passengers at stops with no scheduled dwell times.

Looking at the schedule, they would have about 10 minute dwell time at White Sulfur Springs or some schedule fat. Maybe Amtrak quietly chose not to piss of anyone at the aristocratic resort. See what they do next year for the GOP Special.

Goes to show they could cut and add cars at Pittsburgh too. The Capitol Ltd has about 20 minutes fat in the schedule approaching PGH from either direction and 10 - 15 " station dwell time.

I believe the car was the Dover Harbor and it had been on the train since Chicago.
