Textile Exec Accused of Bribing Amtrak Officer for Contracts

A former textile manufacturing executive is accused of bribing an Amtrak employee to secure contracts worth millions for his Delaware employer, and another company employee is likely implicated.

The Amtrak employee, Philadelphia-based Lead Contract Adminisrtator Timothy Miller, has already plead guilty to charges and has been terminated, in the contract "fix" worth an estimated $7.6 million, of which $6.5 million was from Federal grants, i.e., YOUR money. Prior thread:

Miller has also been prohibited from participation in ANY future Federally-involved procurement process.

Well, I would certainly hope so. It's unclear whether it's a permanent, lifetime ban. The information from the US DOT's Inspector General mentions a "suspension."
