For me, #2 is wonderful because you get to see travelers inside the train as it makes its sweeping curve ... they remind me of the ever-patient silhouettes sitting inside my Lionel 027 passenger cars.

Great series of night photos, great eye for predicting what the scene looks like when the train arrives. Curious what your technique is, there seems to be great consistency between scenes.

Back in High School our photography class went for a night shoot in the Chinatown area, lots of interesting magic came out of the photos using the settings on the Kodak instructions.
