Passenger Trains > PV On The Move This Week

Silver Iris will be moving from Emeryville to Denver on Thursday and Friday, 2/21 and 2/22. It will return on Monday and Tuesday, 2/25 and 2/26.

If you happen to see it out and about, photos would be most welcomed!

According the a recent audit, that is questionable. 

Hook and haul. Amtrak charges plenty for the move.

If you're drinking that Koolaid, I got a bridge to sell ya.

Amtrak's incremental costs to haul a private car are small.  At $2 per mile they are making money.  At the current rate of over $3, they should feel guilty.  Those bozos don't know a gift when they see it.  And anyone who has been in the business of operating PVs knows the numbers because we've crucnched them to make our own businesses successful.  So if you don't have the experience, you just don't know.

Thank you John, you are correct and anyone who does not see this has to be blind.  Amtrak makes money on PV moves period and their management is stupid for not accepting more moves.
