Passenger Trains > Empire Builder racing out of the Chicago city limitsDate: 05/05/19 20:05 Empire Builder racing out of the Chicago city limits Author: inCHI It's quiet here today, so I'll post something I took today that isn't anything special, but what I took. I'm testing a different camera setup that my usual, and pointed it at the Empire Builder as it cruises through Edgebrook, IL, which is right on the very meadering northern/northwest border of Chicago. The guy walking his dogs at the end of the video came up and asked if I saw the Canadian National (really, CP) business train go by the other day, alas, I did not, and I didn't think it took this route.
In a few weeks I'll be on 7 headed to Montana passing through here, a long-awaited trip. I'm hoping that no further drastic reductions in on board services take effect before now and then.
