There was a freight derailment near Picayune, Mississippi, blocking the northbound (#20) Crescent. Southbound #19 is turning at Birmingham today to become #20 . Busses are handling passengers between New Orleans and Birmingham.

Crescent Route being affected - Engine and 20 cars near Poplarville, Ms Apparently there was a washout. Saying it will take 2-3 days to open the track.

CONO is short turning due to the reopening of the Bonnet Carre spillway which flows under the rickety wood trestle, no one is sure for how long when there is significant scouring happening at the base of its wood posts when the spillway is flowing full force.
