Passenger Trains > The Hoosier State is Back!

Chicago Union Station on July 7, 2019 at 5:13pm is just about ready for another boarding of the Hoosier State. All passengers report to Gate C for a 5:45pm departure.

Pitiful. Just imagine if we were all that sloppy in running our business. Just shows a total lack of competence.

It would be hard to find a more poorly managed organization in the whole country.  Beyond sad for customers.

Maybe it's like Never Never Land, you have to think happy thoughts and BELIEVE that the train is there waiting to load passengers in the South concourse. Heck let's imagine it goes all the way to Cincinnati while we are at it.

I'm just wondering if they will have to run a hospital train to Beech Grove one of these days!
Didn't they get into this situation in the first place when they were running these extra trains separate from the Cardinal!

Cardinal is used for this. Saturdays on 50 and Mondays on 51 from what I've seen so far.

Well if the worst thing an organization can do is put out wrong information, maybe that's true.  However, from the perspective of managing transportation safety, one could say that America's road & highway system (managed by thousands of organizations) is far worse than Amtrak with 30,000 - 40,000 annual fatalities and many, many more serious injuries.

 america's road/highway system does NOT cause or is responsible for the 30k-40k injuries/fatalities.  failure to obey traffic laws/regulations by the driving public are mostly responsible.........

Whatever the reason, automobiles are motorcycles are the most dangerous form of travel. Driver training in the US is also a joke, yet they think they are competent enough for Autobahn speed limits.

Yes, acutally the road/higway system IS a cause for many accidents due to design.  Over prioritization of automobiles over pedestrians and some police departments' indifference to victims of motor vehicle violence is another factor.  Underenforecement of traffic laws/regulations IS a road/highway management decision.
