Grapevine passenger train 901 now runing a FL9 GVRR 2016 head end westbound. 10/05/19

The GP7 on the other end was recently sand blasted. Looks like it will also get a fresh coat of paint very soon.

GVRR also working to get the 2nd FL9 engine ready to run. Should be FL9's on both ends very soon.

This photo of it leaving Grapevine. And a TexRail train while waiting for the 901 to show up.

Rode this in 2017, with the new commuter rail in service does the GVRR still run at around 20-25 mph?

Would a 5-axle loco trip anything on a modern axle count detector?   Just curious.

Nope.  Just like the UP 5 axle HEP car doesn't.

Just ends up with an odd number on the read-back.
