Currently, #4 is expected to arrive in Newton Monday at 10:40am. That is 8 hr and 20 minutes late. 

Get your cameras out.

And it has a BNSF unit leading, the 8493.  Not much chance of taking it off at Kansas City since one Amtrak unit, the 169, is totally dead right now and Amtrak did not send a spare unit on 3(10).

Further the ETA is too optmisic, since the BNSF unit can only do 70 mph  vis 79 and 90 mph   on much of the line to Chicago.

when colo and nm was dropped to 79 from 90 they studied what faster acceleration could do , not sure if atk  had to lengthen the schedule

Mundo is right.  Already, the ETA at Newton has slipped another 1 hr 16 min; and it will continue to slip.

Amtrak ETAs for tardy trains are -never- accurate.
