If on time, Amtrak's westbound Southwest Chief #3 would roll through about 8:30am EDT.  Right now, it is getting light about that time here so you might see something.  Its counterpart #4 goes over Cajon after dark.

8:30? Normally it's just after 5 in the Morning!

Eastbound Train 4 now passes in twilight if on time, and the days are still getting longer. You can get a pretty good idea of where the train is by using the Transitdocs tracker and map for the specific train, with more detail shown on the specific-train's map as you enlarge it, including timepoints every few minutes. Allow for 3-4 minutes delay on reporting.

APPROXIMATELY it shows up some time after 45 minutes from departure out of San Bernardino.

The actual location of the Cajon Pass Virtual Railfan railcam is shown as "Lugo" on the Transitdocs map

On time for Amtrak, maybe the only benefit of the great depression and mortality of the virus.
Yes, most trains have been on time day after day since April.

Tonight, Amtrak 4(22) passed the railcam at 826pm Pacific Time.  Convert to whatever your local time may be, on your own.
Attached is the screenshot of the Transitdocs trace at that time.

...and a screenshot of the train as it passes.
