Wife from the lounge car window
Author: santafedan

Best wife ever.  Married 53 years in August.
She supports all of my RR endeavors: travel, modelling (HO, G, N, 1/8th scale) Indiana Liver Steamers-president, Morgan County Model Railroad Club-president and astronomy.  I built 2 telescopes an 8 inch f8 and a 6 inch f4.
She is in 2 hand bell choirs, president of Morgan County Library Board and an officer in the Morgan County Literacy Coalition.

You are blessed indeed. While not the focus of the post, care to share the train no. and location?

Just showed that to my wife.  We have 52 years of marriage and I have a pic or  two of her sitting in about the same place on a
Superliner lounge car!

Congratulations on your 53 years!

I am one of the fortunate few as well.  Coming up on 30 years with my Heidi.  She also likes baseball and hoops.  I think I hit the jackpot!

I also, miraculously, have the best wife in the universe. We both have enjoyed meny good train trips. How can so many have this blessing. Perhaps there is such a thing as divine quantum mechanics.

Can't argue with you, John. Here's the two of you approaching the Huey P. Long bridge after leaving New Orleans

Thanks  - sure guessed wrong myself. So now I have to guess No. 3 was late in the Arkansas Valley as those thunderstorms normally build-up in the afternoons.

Yes!Train riding wives are the best.  Mine has done trips with me throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico.  Yes, Mexico.  In our younger days all the way from Duluth, MN to Mexico City and return.

Those were the days--a through sleeper all the way from St Louis to Mexico City!!
