Amtrak #4 in 2001.

Amtrak #4 the eastbound Southwest Chief  rounds the curve at Mp 251 on the BNSF Marceline sub in the fall 2001.  The engineer gives a great horn salute.  Location is where the ex Santa Fe main line crossed the Des Moines river that forms the border between Missouri and Iowa.

That was a lot if extra cars on there... did they do decent revenue with it? And if so, why did they kill it?
