Current Power on Amtrak/California Service?
Author: RRBMail

It has been a few years since I rode CalTrans' Amtrak/California's low-level "Horizon" trainset on the San Joaquin Valley route. Any TOs know what headend power is used now-a-day's?  Thanks in advance!

The two Dash 8s, CDTX 2051/2052 are not PTC equipped, and both have mechanical issues that would prevent them from being used on revenue trains.
