Passenger Trains > POTUS-Elect Special, Wilmingtopn - DC?

When will that train run? I thought it was today, as the Bidens will spend tonight at the Blair House in DC. The move into the White Hose is supposed to happen tomorrow but there's been mention of some work to be done before that.

It was cancelled due to security concerns.

President-elect Joe Biden will no longer be taking an Amtrak train to Washington for his inauguration because of security concerns.

He may still spend Jan 20 night in Blair House as the White House will get a deep disinfectant of all surfaces, having been a virus hot  spot for several months. 

Just announced that the private residents part of the White House will be getting a second " deep cleaning" tomorrow morning immediately after the Trumps depart at approx. 7am as the Biden team is concerned with that space being potentially Covid compromised based on Trump's disregard for the seriousness of the virus. 

    The private contractor handling the chore says that it will all be completed before the 12 noon swearing in ceremony. Also announced that the Bidens will be sharing the master bedroom suite and have requested a California King bed for that space. The Trumps slept in seperate bedrooms. 

    Here's hoping non of the wackos get inside the perimeter to spoil the show.

Although tradition is for the outgoing administration to provide a military passenger plane to transport the president-elect to the inaguration, this time that tradition was not extended to Mr. Biden. Instead, a private jet was arranged by the Biden team to bring him and Dr. Biden to DC.
