AMTK 130 on the Southwest Chief
Author: YardLimit

Amtrak 130, the Phase II Heritage Unit made an appearance in New Mexico leading the westbound Southwest Chief on February 21, 2021.  Shot outside Las Vegas, New Mexico, it passes the semaphores at Romeroville.  Note the new paint on the nose.

There are some shots you just can't get without one.  This is one of them.

Wow, Thomas-- looks like IOTD to me, and almost tempted to try one of these drones out, but know I'd have trouble flying one, let alone getting a high quality photo like yours.  (I've never been any good at video games, but can play classical piano-- don't know what happened w/ the hand/eye coordination with those games, but it never took!)

Interesting - I thought the semaphores had all been taken out in the last year or so.  I guess not!

There's been talk of taking out the semaphores since 2000! "They'll all be gone by 2000, then 2002!" Still there!
