Passenger Trains > 70 + run KAL-CHIDate: 05/13/22 14:41 70 + run KAL-CHI Author: twropr On Fri/Sat when the relief man is on NS' Chicago Terminal desk, we get a better idea of how the railroad could run when passenger trains get green signals.
WOLVERINE 351 left Kalamazoo at 9:56 am ET (38 min LT) and arrived Chicago on time at 10:49 am CT, passing CP 482 at 10:00. That's 91.3 MPH KAL-482 avg and 49.6 MPH 482-CHI avg, 73.2 MPH overall. Compare that to Mon. the 9th when 351 left KAL at 9:37, held at 482 9:45-10:01 to follow 37N, arriving CHI at 12:01 pm (1 hr 12 min LT).
