336 broke down (mechanical issues) and got into Chicago at around 4:15pm, exactly one hour after it shouod left northbound as 337. 337 out of Chicago 19:30. 30 mins before it should've left as train 341. So super late 340, and super late 341.

If Amtrak had enough cars and locomotives, they could put together a replacement train set out of the yard,
and avoid this cascading effect of one late train making all the other following trains late.

If the Professor could just about fabricate a fusion reactor from coconuts and driftwood, seems llike he would be the perfect appointee to Beech Grove and all of the Amtrak equipment therein waiting for repair.........................

Modern North American Railroading. Rearranging deck chairs on a sinking ship for 40 years.

And the band played on.
