Passenger Trains > Amtrak 48 with reversed consist at Elkhart 8/2/22

Given Amtrak's route through Albany has apparently re-opened, it's not clear to me why this eastbound consist of the Lake Shore Ltd, #48 (seen running 45 minutes late at Elkhart Tuesday 8/2/22) should have the NY Penn cars up front and Boston cars on the rear. But it doesn't really matter as CSX continues to impose a daytime trackwork curfew on the B&A main and the Boston section of the Lake Shore, #448 is annulled 8/2/22. I'm guessing that the Boston cars will travel to NY Penn and Sunnyside yard for servicing - does anyone know for sure? Alternatively the Boston cars could be left at Albany/Rensselaer but I'm not sure Amtrak is equipped to clean and prepare the sleeper for the next westbound trip on #49.
