Fresh edits - Along the NEC at Sunset
Author: Mgoldman

Until a few days ago, these photos from January I had only seen as
previews on the back of my Nikon (yeah - haven't you heard, lol).  I
haven't been out and about much last two years, due to some health
issues, but I made it a point to seek out the Big Yellow Ball between
late December and January.

It's at this time of the year that the Sun sets along the ROW of Amtrak's
Northeast Corridor.  Here are a few trains that showed up in that very
short window of opportunity!

First: AMTK No. 614 - an ACS-64 "Cities Sprinter", leading a long distance
Amtrak train north captured just shy of the Cornwells Heights station in
Bensalem, PA (midway between Philadelpia and Trenton)

Second: AMTK No. 611 racing through the Tacony section of Philadelphia
with the city's skyline serving as backdrop.

Last: AMTK No. 656 making its way north through Marcus Hook, PA, having
left Wilmington 10 minutes earlier.

More to come... eventually!

And one "sunset" before sunset - from the new (improved) Market Street overpass in
Marcus Hook, PA, featuring a southbound Amtrak Acela Express bound for Wilmington,
DE.

A 12 mm photograph.

Great shots, Mitch. Just last Saturday night I was thinking about you and where did you disappear to while looking at someone else's NEC photos here on TO.

Glad to see you are back and wish you good health for many more years to come.

Here are the 3 photos from above - looks like in an attempt to edit one, some or
all stopped appearing:

Cornwells Heights - Bensalem, PA
Tacony - Philadelphia, PA
Marcus Hook, PA
