International Railroad Discussion > MRS at João Aires (Brazil)

Hi, MRS has some great spots for train watching, specially in the famous Mantiqueira hill. Last Friday (May 12) I was there witha friend to watch some trains reaching the summit at João Aires. It is a bucolic location where the train climbs a steep grade and when it arrives in the yard we have an impression that is coming from the ground. At light, the headlights use to light the sky.
In this pic, we see an empty ore running in the yard after reach the summit in the background.

Today I did another visit to João Aires yard . Here are the pics:

1) A pair of C44´s leading only three empty cement cars passing by the old depot;

2) AC44i 7341 leading an empty ore at the yard;

3) The od depot seen from the other side of the swamp.
