Hi, yesterday I did a railfaning trip at Antonio Carlos (FAS). I watched good trains in spite of the raining weather.

In the past, FAS was the starting point of the famous Oeste de Minas railroad (EFOM),a narrow gauge (76cm) gauge steam railroad that had 760 km long network. Nowadays, a small strech of about 20 km is preserved for tourism linking the cities of São João Del Rey to Tiradentes. At FAS is preserved one of the falous narrow gauge Baldwins and a business car. FAS is located at the famous Centro Line of the former Central odo Brasil railroad (EFCB), now part of MRS railroad.

Not much grass growing in that ballast.

Yes. MRS has permition to use weed killer. In fact, it has good machines to spray the weed killer on the tracks.
