International Railroad Discussion > Russian freight cars in Iran?Date: 10/07/18 11:38 Russian freight cars in Iran? Author: inCHI I've looked at a lot of Iranian freight train consists and found several types of Russian railcars within the trains - tank cars, grain containers, container flats, and more. Does anyone know if these are interchanged across the border? If so, I guess they would swap the trucks out? Or, I guess they also might just being cars for the Iranian network purchased from Russian suppliers. Other cars in the country appear to mostly be purchased from Europe.
If anyone is looking for examples, on instagram there are accounts related to Iranian Railways that often have a welcome habit of showing whole trains going by. Search "@ir.railway" , there I've found dozens of those videos. Or, this 2014 article on a train wreck shows Russian-made grain cars in the photo. https://en.trend.az/iran/society/2326978.html Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/07/18 11:41 by inCHI. |
