Hi, the daily MRS train class 82 in my area generally has a consist of gondolas with iron cast. But sometimes it has flat cars or GDT class gondolas with containers too. On wednesday 5 it had only containers in the consist. Here is O482 leaving EVP yard with a nice set of loco: C44EMi, C26-7MP, C36-7 and a C30-7.

2) C44EMi 3922 starts to pull the train. In the background  some  U20C parked at track #3,

3) C26-7MP 3646 received some graffiti.

4) C36M 3861 is former ATSF 8080.

I like the short containers in what appears to be similar ore short gondolas like the Pennsylvania RR had in the 1960’s .
all the photos of the locomotives are great. New GE’s and older US ones still lugging tonnage!
i always have a great moment viewing your postings.

Pedro, when did your railroads get rid of cabooses?

Hi, the main companies ceased caboose operations circa 1985, but small companies used them until the 21st century, like Amapá railroad that used them until the end of the railroad operations in 2013. I will separate some pics to open a thread here on my visit to Amapa railroad in 1999 and some news after that visit.
