ALLEN Date: 07/12/20 02:40 Re: International Railway Station Part 5 Author: andersonb109 We were stopped there for service on Rovos Rail. All the other passengers either stayed on the train or wandered around the town. Of course I concentrated on the rail activities such as they were. We passed only one passenger train each way most days and in Zambia that was less than in Tanzania. Track conditions in Zambia were horrible with lots of lateral motion. Walking down the hall ways was a challenge. How food was served was beyond me. They gave up even trying to serve soup. It appears there was great hope for more passenger service when the line was built.Photo was from 2011 so not sure what the conditions are now.
