Radio Shack PRO-97

Radio Shack has the PRO-97 on sale for $149.95. I picked one up yesterday. While it is more sensitive than my other RS scanners, it also has much greater selectivity and I don't have any problems with overloading from NOAA weather radio or pagers.

If you are interested, it has 1000 channel capacity in case you want to listen to something besides trains. I plugged in the 100 AAR channels and lock out the ones I don't need, depending on where I want to railfan. Most police and fire are already pre-programmed.

Thanks for the input. I just found out that I am getting one for my Birthday this year. My mother saw it and got it for me.
