I wonder how the images would compare with the Hasselblad medium format at 50 mp.

File storage will be interesting.  My Canon 30MP Mark4 raw files average 40GB each.

My long-gone Argus C3, bereft of pixels, would be in awe.

Hopefully 40MB, not 40GB.

At 61mp, a file size would be in the area of 50mb provided you shoot raw.

Love their website marketing...

"An ideal starter bundle, the Sony Alpha a7R IV Mirrorless Digital Camera with 24-70mm f/2.8 Lens Kit from B&H pairs the high-resolution full-frame camera with the FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM standard zoom lens."

Starter bundle that costs $5,696 lol

Anybody out there railfanning with one of these?

(...asks the guy who just raided the piggybank to pay for his first full frame DSLR). I’d like to know what I’m missing.

This Video is a little winded but hits the basic difference by 4:30 minutes into the Video. It gets more definitve as it goes, there's a lot of whiz-bangs to explain but he seems to do a pretty good job. Most of these are simply Camera Salesman making a Video but this guy stays on the Technical side.
Basically cheaper to build, Manufacturers staying on high quality and big money side of the market. My concern is what had been called shutter-lag.
