Western Railroad Discussion > Past & Present - IMRL/ICE at Savanna, ILDate: 10/20/09 18:45 Past & Present - IMRL/ICE at Savanna, IL Author: trainboy03 I'm not old enough to remember the tower, MILW roundhouse, or even much of the MILW yard, but here's a couple things that have changed drastically between my visits to Savanna, IL over the years.
1. IMRL business train using borrowed MRL equipment eastbound over the BNSF on August 11, 1999. 2. Eastbound IC&E train MNACC crossing the BNSF on February 23, 2008. Big changes include: removal of pot signal on eastbound main, removal of the old CB&Q pole line, the new bike path bridge, and of course, the IC&E/DM&E purchase of the IMRL. Well done, Erik.

They spent most of their careers running on the Q to St. Paul. |
