Beautiful Amtrak Station at Forrest Park

It's been 50 years since I've been by the Victorville station. The most I can say about the experience is that I was underwhelmed.

I remember de-training fromt the COSL, and the Grand Canyon at Victorville in the early 1960's. It was a great little station. Oh well, at least trains still stop there.

Reply: The City of St. Louis was a great train. Do you or anyone else have any photos of it from the 50's and 60's? Thanks!

The Grand Canyon was often late and not so much to speak about, but it did go through Riverside, Corona and Fullerton on its way into LA. Once when yet a small boy my mother took me on it as a birthday present, from Berdo into LA, but we never reached LA, because it was so far behind schedule. We had to disembark at Fullerton to catch the eastbound back to Berdo.
