Reportedly the first batch will see service on the former Soo and DM&E. Numbers are 2200 and up. No builder's numbers available yet.
Date: 01/05/13 21:26 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: CCMF Oddly the first six delivered are CP 2210-2215.

The first few are already built and in testing, the question is how soon will the first be delivered. Obviously CP didn't want to take delivery before 1Q 2013. Date: 01/06/13 15:41 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: CPengineer Seven are in St. Paul now being set up for service. Here's 2213 from this morning.

Bob Callahan Monticello, IN Date: 01/07/13 01:43 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: coach Nice looking units. I wonder how clean they are to a similar HP genset? They sure look better.
Date: 01/07/13 04:25 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: junctiontower I'll bet they WORK a heck of a lot better, and for a longer period of time, too.

do know some are stored. thanks Don Date: 01/07/13 06:17 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: CCMF I can see some SOO GP38-2's heading to Canada. Some already have.
Bill Miller Galt, ON Date: 01/07/13 06:36 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: Hookdragkick Those motors look nice, even if they lost some of their iconic features; it's good to see they've dodged the torches and have been given a second chance.
Date: 01/07/13 06:47 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: Locotrol2 With the exception of the trucks and traction motors, everything is new on these Geeps. The SD32's are using frames, trucks, etc from retired SD40-2's.

Date: 01/07/13 09:13 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: GTWMISteve Nice to see some brand new (well almost) 4 axle power. Never thought I'd see that again. Kind of remind me of a GP50 with a low nose cab off a GP20 or an older 4 axle EMD.

Thanks, Dennis Date: 01/07/13 10:31 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: imrl Here is a spec sheet right from EMD on their ECO repower program.
http://www.emdiesels.com/emdweb/products/pdf/EMD_710ECO_Repower_Solutions.pdf There, it does call it a GP22ECO so I'm not sure if there is actually any actual difference with these being called GP20ECO. But it does give some insight into the ECO repower program. Date: 01/07/13 11:10 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: algoma11 They are 2000 HP 8 Cylinder 710 derivatives.
Essentially new GP 38's. They are very GP60 like! Mike Bannon St Catharines, ON Date: 01/07/13 12:57 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: CCMF CP 2200, 2201, 2202 left Muncie, IN on NS at 1431-07.
Bill Miller Galt, ON Date: 01/07/13 14:47 Re: New CP GP20ECO locomotives moving out Author: tx_trainman43 I STILL cant figure out the need for the "snoot" nose. Anyone have any info on that?
