Awesome!  especially number two which gives an excellent perspective of the loop and includes Pilot Peak in the background.  Glad you bought the drone out there.

Beautiful aerai shots!  I've been wanting to shoot aerial video of that area for a year now.  These photos make me want to get out there even more now.  Nice job!

Great shots!  Never seen such descriptive shots of the loop that really gave a good idea of what it really looks like.

I took the eastbound Zephyr last fall and always remember waking up about 1 in the morning looking out at a full moon as we descended the loop.

i had a similar experience about 10 years ago.   It was quite surreal.

Too bad they didn't have quadcopters back when we doubleheaded 844 and 3985 over the loop going to California.

Excellent photos, Chris.  Your 2nd picture illustrates that high quality, perfectly lit photos can be taken near the summer solstice around mid-day - by  focusing on what is best lit at that time of day - the top of the train!
