If you are interested in history, until 1971 the crew districts were Hinkle - La Grande, and La Grande - Huntington. Huntington was the dividing point between the OWR&N and the OSL. Until 1951 the crew districts were Reith - La Grande and La Grande - Huntington. During WWII, the La Grande - Huntington crew district was split into La Grande - Baker and Baker - Huntington districts.

Dispatchers for the Blue Mountains were located upstairs in the depot in La Grande until 1964, when they moved to Albina (Portland). Subsequently, the Albina dispatchers were moved to the Harriman Center in Omaha.
