Today on cable TV channel Destination America they are showing something called real time ride, playing continually today.  It is a cab ride show 5 hours long out the cab view, with plenty of commercials too.  Set your dvrs an watch when others are out shopping!

Couldn't help myself. While prepping dinner I clocked him at just over 27 mph between MP328-329 and 30 mph between 334-335. Kind of fun. Wife's out of the shower now so here comes the Parade.

I would highly doubt your tumeslip or sanity would be approved.. Mainly wondering why, well there  would be demerrritd for time spent on commercials plus since the woke run was done using a electronic device, you are doomed TEE HE HE!!! mORE ROFFL

I'm laughing how this program is rated TV-14 & has Closed Captioning.

Contrary to popular belief, it is NOT "live" as the railroad is currently closed due to a snow slide with a stuck freight train in the slide.

Train is at Curry. Power was cut off and run to Talkeetna. They plan to call a crew out of Anchorage tomorrow to DH to Talkeetna, grab the power, and attempt to recover the train.

While I was cooking I clocked a few of their miles and they were anywhere from 27 & 32 on the low end and a lot was 40. I noticed one at 50 mph but the way they break for ads it hard to keep a running average.. Seems to me its a lite engine (s). You can hear the air drains pop but no auto or bail air.

I know dark is 49-59 so it looks like 49 is the max. It only shows the one segment over and over again or am I missing something ?  Back to the kitchen.

the fact that a LONG "head end" railroad video is on t.v is great.  maybe, just maybe, foaming is more popular than we think..........

49 max for freight/59 passenger in TWC. 60 max in CTC.

I'm fairly certain that it would be an hours of service violation to watch this tonight.

Think of the money the class one's would make if they released their outward facing camera videos.  *not being serious here*

But, I do wonder how much of that would sell.  Think it will ever happen where anybody could check those videos out if there was no liability involved?

Railway Productions had quite a demand for Cab Ride videos taken from Amtrak.  They filmed the entire Southwest Chief where it runs in daylight.  These are actually a little better than the Alaska RR cab ride, as you can listen to the cab converse, radio chatter, dispatcher/MOW conversations, etc.  The whole 9/11 thing and "distracts in the cab" put an end to Amtrak participating.  However, Railway Productions released earlier this year Cab Ride videos taken from two trains on the Indiana Rail Road.  Very high quality stuff.

The stuck SB freight arrived Anchorage at 1945 tonight. Will be running a rare daylight move tomorrow.
